How it all began...

In 2011, four worlds musically collided in a tiny rehearsal room in Switzerland. And like many unexpected things in life, it was a good thing…a VERY good thing! unifour is the youngest, yet fastest growing Country band sensation in Switzerland. Swiss drummer (Renato Roncaglioni), a German guitarist (Bodo Neumeister) and an American lead vocalist (Heather Hoy) consolidated their unique musical backgrounds to form the band Unifour. Although most people would assume the band's named stammed from its four members, the name actually was selected as a salute to the four counties in the Catawaba Valley region of western North Carolina, where Bodo Neumeister lived temporarily in 1998 an fell in love with country music.
One week after their initial meeting, Ohio born native, Heather Hoy met with Bodo Neumeister and together, started composing in their own original style. One year later in August of 2012, unifour decided to subdue their eagerly awaiting fans by releasing their 4 song single, Four Steps Faster in anticipation of their debut album. Four original songs including the hit "Many Moons Ago" with guest duet partner, Swiss Country Music singer Marco Gottardi made a big splash on the Swiss Country Music scene and led to radio airplay and countless appearances at festivals like the International Trucker & Country Festival in Interlaken, the Verzasca Country Festival, and the International Country Festival Albisgütli in Zurich where Unifour shared the stage with guest American Country Music artists, such as a Canadian star Gord Bamford.
In October 2013, unifour released their debut album, Get It On and were immediately overwhelmed with media interest in the form of print and radio interviews. Much to their elation, their debut album placed them not only Country radio stations, but on mainstream radio senders as well. In fact Radio Swiss Pop even took Unifour's hit song Love Everything About You in their weekly rotation! A new fan based ignited and Unifour started seeing new faces at their concerts.
A big change came in the band however, when Renato Roncaglioni decided in May of 2016 to move on to a new project. Heather, Bodo and Nik were faced with the decision to either dissolve the band completly or look for a new drummer. The outcry from fans and fellow musicians was clear: STAY TOGETHER! As an answer to this reaction at the end of 2016, Unifour got a facelift! A new logo, a new website, new repertoir and most importantly, a new fourth memeber! Luzern Drummer Rafael Zimmermann joined this steadfast team and brought fresh life and precision into the band! A new chapter, a new beginning.
Unifour is currently workin on their second album and discussing an American tour.

Heather Hoy
Lead vocals & Acoustic Guitar

At age 17, she was cast in the lead role in the musical Annie and later that summer, she was cast in the lead role as Sandy in the musical Grease with the Kent State University Summer Theatre. In 1993, she was awarded a 4-year Vocal scholarship from the Founces M. Luley Foundation to attend Bowling Green State University and study Classical Music under the talented singer and professor, Dr. Robert Bracey. In 1997, Heather graduated Cum Laude from BGSU with a Bachelors of Art in Vocal Performance and Interpersonal Communications.

Over the next 5 years, Heather worked professionally in Sales, but never lost touch with her musical side. She kept herself busy performing as a soloist at prestigious charity events, countless wedding ceremonies, and in different Cover bands. During this time, she also started composing her own music. In 2002, she relocated to Switzerland and performed as the lead singer of the Party band, Charisma from 2003-2010. The band travelled all over Switzerland, sharing the stage with stars like DJ Ötzi and Jurgen Drews. In 2010, she took over the reigns by launching her own website and becoming her own boss!

In 2011, Heather went back to her roots and became one of the founding members of the Country music band, Unifour. In a combined composing effort with German guitarist Bodo Neumeister, original songs with a country-pop twist were born. In 2013, they released their first full album, Get It On and were immediately overwhelmed with media interest. Their debut album placed them not only on Country radio stations, but on mainstream radio senders as well.  In fact, the reputable Swiss radio station, Radio Swiss Pop even took Unifour’s hit song, “Love Everything About You” into their weekly rotation! A huge concert circuit quickly followed with invitations to perform at the International Country Festival Albisgütli, Interlaken Trucker & Country Festival and the Verzasca Country Festival with more than 1,000 visitors. In 2014, after watching Dolly Parton live onstage in Locarno, Heather decided to pursue a life-long dream of learning to play the guitar. Just 2 short years later, Heather was not only able to accompany Unifour onstage on more than half the repertoire, but she had he means to start a new method of composing!

Unifour is currently working on their second album, due for release late 2017/early 2018.

Nik Ilic
Bass & Background Vocals

Thanks to his fundamental knowledge of rhythm and harmony coupled with his skills in the vocal department - all of which he learned during four years of attending a music school, Nik was later able to successfully self teach himself guitar and bass. As he began to master the bass, he realized that he felt a very strong connection to the amazing ability of this instrument to set the foundation of the rhythm part of songs---it didn’t take long before the bass became his favorite instrument and his central focus!

Over the years, Nik has been a faithful member of the Swiss country bands, Mason Jar and the Gasoliners, where he has served as both background vocalist and bassist.

His enthusiasm for the Country Music scene continues to grow bigger by the day and he has big plans for the future of Unifour !

Bodo Neumeister

At age 8, Bodo discovered his love of guitar and went on to become the Lead Guitarist of several successful Rock bands in the '80s and '90s in the southern part of Germany. In 2007, Bodo played in the country duo Nashville Cowboys and in 2008, he became a loyal member of the Gasoliners Country Band.
